The Smooth Fox Terrier is a breed of dog, one of many terrier breeds. It was the first breed in the fox terrier family to be given official recognition by The Kennel Club (circa 1875; breed standard 1876). It is well known, and although not a widely popular breed today outside of hunting and show circles, it is extremely significant due to the large number of terriers believed descended from it.

ReplyDeleteThank you for this post. I have a Fox Terrier and I have to tell everyone that this dog is friendly, clever and loving. I'm now training her to become a show dog because she learns so quickly and she's very energetic and agile. I love her coat - so easy to clean and to preserve its lustre, I make sure I give her the best food and supplements. Lately, I've been reading a lot about the breed and was surprised by some of the information that I didn't know yet.
